BOURNEMOUTH Airport is advising passengers to ‘properly package’ their hand luggage as new security measures are yet to be installed.
Airports across the UK are in the process of installing new, improved security screening equipment that will end the 100ml limit on liquids.
However, Bournemouth Airport has warned passengers the site is yet to install the equipment and to prepare for security as normal.
Those travelling from the airport should bring liquids within 100ml containers and in a one litre clear resealable plastic bag.
Bournemouth Airport shared on social media: “As has been widely reported, to improve passenger security UK airports are in the process of installing new security screening equipment. Once complete at Bournemouth Airport, we will update our website accordingly.
“Until then, when travelling through Bournemouth Airport please prepare for security as normal. For hand luggage this means liquids must still be in containers of up to 100ml and carried in a one litre clear resealable plastic bag (approx. 20cm x 20xm) and removed from hand luggage along with any electrical items such as laptops for security screening. “
