A ROAD in Ferndown will be closed overnight to carry out our ‘urgent’ work.
Dorset Council has ordered that all vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Ringwood Road, Ferndown, between Dunedin Drive and Church Road, which is a distance of approximately 940 metres.
A spokesperson for Dorset Council said: “The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.”
The closure order will come into effect between 8pm and 5am on July 23 and will remain in force for 18 months; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by July 28.
Safemark Roadmarking Ltd will publicise the road closure in several ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works, they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works, and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network.
