Several pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Age - One year old

Breed - Not stated

Colour - Black and Tan

If you want to adopt Butch you can view his full profile here.

Butch came into the care of the RSPCA after he was removed from a large multi-dog household.

He was very timid at first but has shown some progress and is also now walking on leads.

The RSPCA adds: "Due to the unknown contact with children in their previous home, we are looking for a home where any children are dog-confident older teens.

"Due to potentially requiring further housetraining, we are ideally looking for homes where the dog will have access straight out into a garden."

Dumpling is a cat that can be a little nervous and sensitive to noises so will need time and patience from a new owner.

She is growing in confidence though and once she gets to know someone she accepts some head rubs and will take treats from your hand.

Dumpling is currently on a controlled diet to help her lose weight this will need to be continued in the home along with encouragement to exercise

The RSPCA adds: "Dumpling is a bit of a wanderer and will need plenty of time to settle in her new home before going outside to explore, this will ensure she is completely comfortable in her new home and sees it as her base."

Age - One year old

Breed - Lurcher crossbreed

Colour - Brindle

If you want to adopt Pierre you can view their full profile here.

Pierre is a dog described as having a "real zest for life" and is looking to join an active family.

He came into the care of the RSPCA due to welfare concerns and it became clear he had lacked socialisation with other dogs and people.

Pierre has been on a training plan since then which has improved his behaviour significantly.

The RSPCA adds: "While his training journey continues, prospective adopters should be ready to guide him through behavioural challenges, confident that his vibrant personality will ultimately shine through, enriching their lives for years to come."

Lavender

Gender - Female

Age - Three years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Tabby/White

If you want to adopt Lavender you can view her full profile here.

Lavender came into the care of the RSPCA when she was found living in unsuitable conditions with lots of other cats.

She hasn't had much human interaction growing up so is quite nervous as a result.

However, she is slowly starting to grow in confidence and would need an understanding owner to carry on that development.

Lavender prefers a hands-off approach with people but may come round to more interaction over time.
