A MAN has been jailed after targeting Co-op stores in a spree of shoplifting offences.
Stuart Westwood, 37, was sentenced at Poole Magistrates’ Court for 31 charges of theft from a shop.
Court records show he stole more than £1770 worth of goods from Co-op stores in Christchurch Road and Charminster Road in Bournemouth between April 16 and July 2.
These items included wine, chocolate, meat, cheese and energy drinks.
In one incident on April 22, Westwood stole alcohol to the value of £300 from the Christchurch Road store.
The defendant, of no fixed address, admitted all the charges of theft against him.
He was handed a 12-week prison sentence at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 11.
Westwood was also ordered to pay compensation of £1779.50.
