HEAVY traffic delays are bringing parts of Purbeck to a standstill this afternoon after a crash involving a motorcyclist.
Emergency services are currently on the A351 between Norden roundabout and Stoborough, close to the Halfway Inn pub.
It's understood a motorcyclist has been involved in a single vehicle crash on the busy road leading to Corfe Castle.
He has injured his hands and legs.
A spokesman for Purbeck police said: "A single vehicle RTC has occurred, traffic is heavy, but still flowing. It is causing congestion. Emergency services are on scene and dealing."
A spokesman for Dorset Police added: "At 1.52pm on Thursday 18 July 2024, Dorset Police received a report of a single vehicle collision on Soldiers Road in Norden.
"It is reported that a motorcyclist has sustained injuries to his legs and hands. Officers are currently in attendance with the ambulance service.
"Recovery of the vehicle has been arranged."
