THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:
JORDAN BROUGHAM, 31 and of Millfield in Poole, admitted fraud by false representation after dishonestly making a false representation on December 26, 2021, namely creating a false letter from his health nurse intending to gain benefits via PIP or to expose that person to a risk of loss. He was handed a community order lasting until January 16, 2026, with a curfew with electronic monitoring. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
SCOTT GARRY CHAPPELL, 42 and of Milne Road in Poole, was found guilty of drug driving, with no less than 87 µg/l of Benzoylecgonine in his blood, in Sandford Road in Wareham on May 31, 2022. He was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for three years. He was also fined £300, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £300 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
WENDY MARIE TURNER, 33 and of Manor Gardens in Verwood, admitted commission of a further offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge order for a period of 18 months imposed on February 27, 2023, at Dorset Magistrates Court. She was handed a community order with requirements to complete by July 16, 2025.
DAVID VASILE, 27 and of Tyseley Road in Portsmouth, admitted driving without insurance in Worgret Road in Wareham on October 8, 2022. He admitted failing without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on October 28, 2022, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on October 9, 2022, at Weymouth Police Station. He got six points on his licence. He was also fined £250, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
SIMON JAMES MULLANE, 59 and of Mayfield Avenue in Poole, admitted resisting or wilfully obstructing an officer in Staffordshire on January 22. He was fined £233, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £93, and costs of £254.
WENDY TURNER, 33 and of Manor Road in Verwood, admitted theft from a shop after stealing goods to the value of £368.53 from Sainsbury’s in Portsmouth on May 31. She was handed a community order lasting until July 16, 2025, and banned from entering Sainsburys in Dorset or Hampshire for six months. She was also ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
JOSHUA GODDARD, 31 and of Slopers Mead in Spetisbury, admitted drug driving, with no less than 2.9 µg/l of Benzoylecgonine in his blood, on the A31 in Ferndown on January 11. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was also fined £350, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £140 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
JAMIE PARKIN, 23 and of Commercial Road in Bournemouth, admitted possession of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis, in Bournemouth on April 16. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £48 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
JASON EVANS, 30 and of Bournemouth, admitted two counts of theft from a shop after stealing candles to the value of £600 from Bookends in Christchurch high street on March 20, and candles to the value of £470 from the same store on March 21. He was jailed for 28 days.
LEON TIMBERLAKE, 50 and of Albert Road in Poole, admitted drug driving, with 4.5 micrograms of THC in his blood, in Poole Road in Bournemouth on December 25, 2023. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was fined £500, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £200 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
