A MAN was assaulted and sustained head injuries that needed hospital treatment.
Officers were called to Wimborne Road’s junction with Withermoor Road in Bournemouth to reports a man was assaulted.
The man’s head injuries, although needing hospital treatment, are not described as serious.
A police investigation into the incident is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 10.20pm on Wednesday 17 July 2024 that a man was assaulted in Wimborne Road at the junction with Withermoor Road in Bournemouth.
“The victim sustained an injury to his head and attended hospital for treatment. His injuries are not described as serious.
“Officers attended and carried out enquiries at the scene. No arrests have been made and an investigation is continuing.”
