AFC Bournemouth has applied for permission to sell alcohol at its Vitality stadium for consumption around the outside of the ground.

The club has submitted a premises licence application to BCP Council requesting the changes for both match days and non-match days.

For match days, AFC Bournemouth has requested permission for on and off sales of alcohol between 9.30am and 11pm.

For non-match days, it has requested that on and off sales of alcohol can be made between 9am and 1am Monday to Thursday, between 9am and 1.30am Friday and Saturday, and 9am to midnight on a Sunday.

AFC Bournemouth held a trial over alcohol sales earlier in the year, which allowed fans to buy alcohol and then consume it anywhere around the outside of the ground.

Home supporters were able to purchase alcohol from various points of sale around the stadium and were permitted to consume them ‘anywhere within the green perimeter fencing’.
