POLICE say there are no confirmed reports of any assaults after a man was found with injuries on the seafront.
Dorset Police received a third party report at 10.22pm on Friday, July 19, that a man had sustained injuries in the area of Pier Approach.
Following enquiries, it was reported the man was treated by the ambulance service but did not require hospital treatment.
Giving an update on Sunday evening, a spokesman for Dorset Police said: “At this time we have no confirmed reports of any assaults.
"As part of our summer plans we had a large number of units deployed in the area conducting proactive patrols and no incidents were reported to officers present in the vicinity.
"We will continue to work with our partners to provide a visible policing presence on Bournemouth seafront and in the town centre as part of our joint approach to ensuring public safety during the night-time economy in the town.
"Our officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns."
