Several pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.
Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

Magnum
Gender - Male
Age - Six to 12 months old
Breed - Crossbreed/unknown
Colour - Black

Magnum came into the care of the RSPCA after being removed from a large multi-dog household.
He has had no experience of a life outside the one home and garden so will need patient and understanding owners.
Ashley Heath adds: "Due to the unknown contact with children in their previous home, we are looking for a home where any children are 12years+".
Sorbet
Gender - Female
Age - Three years old
Breed - Crossbreed/unknown
Colour - Black and Tan

Like Magnum, Sorbet came into Ashley Heath from a large multi-dog household and does not have much experience with the outside world.
She will need to adjust to a regular home environment and will likely require further socialisation training.
Sorbet has now had some experience walking on a lead and has made friends with some of the quieter, calmer, dogs on site.
Roxy
Gender - Female
Age - Six years old
Breed - Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Colour - Brindle

Roxy came into the care of the RSPCA after being found living in unsuitable conditions.
She knows some basic cues and can walk nicely on the lead but is still learning to sit and wait calmly before being introduced to new people.
Roxy is very affectionate and Ashley Heath has found her to be friendly with other dogs when out on walks around the centre.
The RSPCA adds: "Initially Roxy will require company through the day whilst she resettles back into a new routine but once settled she may be ok to be left for a few hours in the day."
Lady Mittens
Gender - Female
Age - 14 years old
Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour - Grey and White

Previously called Socks, Lady Mittens came into the centre due to welfare concerns.
She is quite independent but does enjoy a small amount of playtime and a bit of fuss initiated on her own terms.
Lady Mittens is on a regular steroid medication to control her skin allergies and also requires monthly prescription flea treatments.
Additionally, she is not to be rehomed within five miles of Poole (BH12).
Milo
Gender - Male
Age - Six years old
Breed - French Bulldog
Colour - Grey/White

Milo is a dog who loves meeting new people, playing with toys and generally using up a lot of energy.
He would benefit from being the only pet in the home and will require company throughout the day to help him settle.
The RSPCA adds: "We do not have much previous history of Milo but feel that after assessment here he may be ok to live with dog-confident older children 11 years + but cannot live with cats."

Larry
Gender - Male
Age - Five years old
Breed - Lurcher crossbreed

Larry is described as a "gentle, sweet-natured boy who just needs a bit of patience to truly shine".
His ideal home would be calm and quiet with an owner who understands his sensitive nature.
Larry adores the company of other dogs, so would thrive living in a home with a friendly and confident pal.
Due to his sensitive nature, he will need to be kept on a lead for walks to ensure his safety as he can get easily startled.
