A DORSET supermarket has closed for over a month for a major refurbishment.
The Co-operative in Westbourne is currently undergoing a revamp of its store.
The store on Queens Road has been closed to the public since July 20.
Improvement works are set to be completed in mid-to-late September when the store will re-open to customers with a fresh new look and layout.
A spokesperson for Co-op said: “The whole team is delighted to have the opportunity to invest in our Queen's Road store.
“We apologise for any inconvenience during our temporary closure - the store is undertaking a major makeover, and we look forward to welcoming our member-owners and customers back into their Co-op - which will have a fresh new look and layout to enhance the shopping experience - when we re-launch.
“We are working to develop the range, choice, and added services to create a compelling offer to serve our community, conveniently.
“Co-op is one of the world’s largest consumer-owned co-operatives, with its history dating back 180 years.
“Its Member-owners own the business and play an intrinsic part in the governance of the organisation, enjoying a wide number of benefits including member-only price savings across a wide range of everyday essentials, and personalised offers via the Co-op Membership app.”
Alternative Co-op stores in the area are situated on Christchurch Road and Charminster Road.
