MULTIPLE police vehicles surrounded Bournemouth Town Centre this afternoon after reports of an ‘altercation’.
Four police cars were initially seen on Post Office Road after reports of an ‘altercation’ between three men and a woman at around 3pm.
More police vehicles surrounded the area of Bournemouth Square and officers began questioning the public around 10 minutes after.
A small cordon was created outside Pret A Manger while officers carried out enquiries.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 3.03pm on Tuesday 23 July 2024 of three men involved in an altercation in Post Office Road in Bournemouth.
“It was also reported that one of the men was acting in an aggressive manner toward a woman.
“Officers have attended the area and are carrying out searches and enquiries.
“The woman involved has been located and is with officers and our enquiries into the circumstances surrounding this incident remain ongoing.
“There is nothing to indicate she has sustained any serious injuries.”
The three men involved have not yet been located.
No arrests have been made in relation to the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
