A PAIR of goat kids were recovered after being stolen in a late-night theft.
The goat kids, Rod and Millie, were stolen overnight on Friday night, July 26, in east Dorset.
The Dorset Police rural crime team were made aware of the theft on Saturday, July 27, and successfully tracked down the pair of kids.
They were found in fields in the Three Legged Cross area, and were quickly returned home.
In order to prevent further thefts, both Rod and Millie were forensically marked, and the rest of the herd’s security improved.
This includes signage that warns potential thieves that the livestock have been forensically marked and are fully traceable, should they be stolen.
Police enquiries into the thefts of Rod and Millie are ongoing.
