A MAN has been jailed after punching a woman in the face at a Wetherspoons pub.
Jonathan Bushell, 43, assaulted the woman at The Quay pub in Poole on March 20.
Bushell appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, July 27, to be sentenced for the assault along with five additional charges.
He was charged with two thefts from a shop after stealing a bottle of red wine valued at £5 and a bottle of cider valued at £2.60 from a Co-op store in Dorchester on April 18.
He faced a second assault by beating charge, having assaulted a man in Ringwood on or around April 11, 2023.
Bushell was also charged with two counts of failing to surrender to court bail at Southampton Magistrates' Court on February 26 and May 24, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings.
The defendant, of Winton in Bournemouth, was jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay compensation of £55.
