AROUND 50 firefighters have been deployed to a large heath fire in Dorset.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service are currently working to extinguish a heath fire near Wool.
The service was called at 5.41pm on Monday, July 29, to a fire at Blacknoll Lane in Winfrith Newburgh.
Firefighters are using hose reels and beaters to tackle the fire, which is affecting a large area of heathland and gorse.
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “The public are kindly asked to avoid the area.”
The incident is ongoing, and firefighters remain on the scene.
