TWO people were hospitalised after a medical incident prompted an emergency response in Bournemouth.

Police and the ambulance service were alerted to the scene at The Suncliff Hotel where two people were found with injuries needing medical assistance.  

The incident occurred on July 27 in the evening at around 7pm.

A spokesperson for the Southwestern Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 19:14hrs on Saturday 27 July to an incident in Bournemouth.

“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer, and a critical care car to the scene and conveyed two patients by land ambulances to Poole Hospital.”

Police also attended to assist emergency services.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “At 7.21pm on Saturday 27 July 2024, we received a report from the ambulance service of two people requiring medical attention at the Suncliff Hotel in East Overcliff Drive in Bournemouth.

“Officers attended the incident to assist the ambulance service and the two people were taken to hospital.

“This was a medical incident, and no police involvement was required.”
