A POWER cut is affecting two villages in Dorset.
The outage was first reported at 12.45pm in the villages of Shitterton and Bere Regis.
It’s believed to be affecting 11 postcodes, including nine customers, according to the energy provider Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks.
SSEN said an unplanned power cut in Shitterton and Bere Regis should be fixed by 4pm on Tuesday, July 30.
A spokesman for SSEN said: “The cause of this power cut is a fault on our underground network. This is the most common type of fault we see and our teams are very experienced in dealing with these issues.
“In most cases, our engineers are able to get your power back on by simply replacing a fuse at the local substation, however, if the fault is severe, this may take longer to fix.”
