A DORSET charity’s 11th shop will also be its first ever ‘discount’ store, bosses have said.
Prama will open its brand new ‘discount charity shop’ in Wimborne Road, Winton, near Lidl, on an unspecified date in September.
The new venture, the charity said, will not only provide lower priced goods, but all proceedings from the shop will help Prama’s goal of supporting older adults and carers in the county.
Prama has a range of community-based activities, support and befriending groups.
Aaron Head, head of retail at Prama, said: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of our 11th shop and we are excited to bring the Prama Discount Shop to the Winton community, where our low prices are even lower.
“As part of the PramaCare group this shop will support the charity’s mission to improve the quality of life for older adults and their carers in Dorset.”
The new shop will be open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 5pm.
Prama opened a shop in Seamoor Road, Westbourne almost exactly a year ago and, in early 2023, opened its first ever superstore in Westover Retail Park, Bournemouth.
The launch of the Prama Discount Shop in Winton’s high street is expected to provide valuable opportunities for volunteers to gain experience, build skills and contribute to a vital cause.
