A SERIAL shoplifter has appeared in court after targeting shops in the Bournemouth area.
Jack Winter, 38, was sentenced at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 30, after admitting to 11 counts of theft from a shop.
His shoplifting spanned over a ten-week period from April 20 to June 29, and saw him steal from Co-op stores in Christchurch Road, Seabourne Road and Cranleigh Road, as well as Boots in Christchurch Road, and Asda petrol station in Holdenhurst Road.
Winter, of Hinton Road in Bournemouth, was also sentenced for four other charges.
He admitted two counts of criminal damage to property after damaging a vehicle to the value of £407 in Hinton Road in Bournemouth on January 1, and damaging a bus door to the value of £800 in Christchurch Road on June 27.
He admitted two counts of using threatening / abusive words / behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Christchurch Road on June 13 and 27.
Winter was handed a 24 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £400 compensation.
