THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

JORDAN SMITH, 30 and of Beech Avenue in Bournemouth, was convicted of failing to give information to police in Pontypridd on December 27, 2023, relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months. He was also fined £288, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

LEE PENDER, 33 and of Cavan Crescent in Poole, admitted driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance on the M27 in Southampton on August 16, 2023. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was also fined £1,000, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £400 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

SHANE JACKSON, 35 and of no fixed address, was found guilty of assault by beating after assaulting a woman in Liberty Way in Poole on November 15, 2023. He was jailed for 12 weeks.

ROSS CHARLES ELLIOTT, 45 and of Undercliff Road in Bournemouth, admitted failing to give information to Dorset Police on November 12, 2022, relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He got six points on his licence. He was also fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £264 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MATTHEW MORRIS JAMES, 57 and of Avon Castle Drive in Ringwood, admitted failing to give information to Dorset Police on July 29, 2022, relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He got six points on his licence. He was also fined £720, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £288 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

JIMMY LEE TURNER WILLETT, 37 and of no fixed address, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following his release from a period of imprisonment. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay costs of £60.

LLOYD SINCLAIR DUFF, 65 and of Ranelagh Road in Weymouth, admitted breaching a domestic violence protection order made by Poole Magistrates Court on July 30. He was fined £50.

SHAHNUR AHMED, 45 and of Hamilton Road in Bournemouth, was found guilty of failing to provide specimen as the person in charge of a vehicle, after failing without reasonable excuse to provide a specimen of urine for a laboratory test in the course of an investigation in Bournemouth on January 9. He got ten points on his licence. He was also fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and costs of £200 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

IAN ANDREWS, 48 and of Ashley Road in Poole, admitted criminal damage to property after damaging a Dorset Police cell van in Poole on December 22, 2023. He admitted two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely two police officers, in Ashley Road in Poole on December 22, 2023. He was conditionally discharged for a period of 12 months. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £25 and costs of £50 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
