VITALITY has agreed a three-year extension of its partnership with Bournemouth Bay Run.

The health and life insurer will continue as the title sponsor and official wellness partner of the popular event.

Early bird registrations are now open for the races, with participants able to choose from four distances: a half marathon, 10km, 5km, or a 1km children’s race.

Cllr Richard Herrett, portfolio holder for destination, leisure and commercial operations, said: “The Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run is one of the highlights of the spring calendar and the atmosphere and community spirit on our beautiful seafront when the race is on is hard to beat.

“We’re delighted to announce Vitality’s commitment to a three-year partnership, which will really enable us to strengthen our focus on wellbeing and support for local charities.”

Nick Read, managing director of the Vitality Programme, said: “Inspiring people to become more active and live healthy lives is at the very centre of everything we do at Vitality, and the Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run is the perfect event for the whole family to take part and enjoy being active together.

“As Bournemouth is home to one of our key offices, this event is particularly special to us, and we are pleased to be able to continue our support of the local community and sponsor the Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run as the Official Wellness Partner.”

The 2025 event, organised by BCP Council, will take place on Sunday, March 23.
