A MAN who was arrested following a stabbing on Bournemouth seafront has been released on police bail.

As reported, police received a report at 9.39pm on Tuesday night that a teenage boy had sustained suspected stab wounds.

It followed an assault that occurred in the area of Pier Approach.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Following enquiries by officers, a 21-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

Giving an update on Thursday, Dorset Police said: “The arrested man has been released on police bail and our investigation remains ongoing.”
