A BUS was forced to divert after being pelted at with objects by vandals.
A Morebus vehicle refused to travel through Turlin Moor after it was damaged by youths.
This is one of many times that the bus has been forced to change its route due to vandals in that specific area.
In a post on social media, the bus company wrote: “No Service to Turlin Moor tonight.
“Due to youths throwing objects at the buses in Turlin Moor, we are not serving Turlin Moor for the remainder of the evening.
“Buses will stop outside the Moor to drop off passengers.”
Richard Wade, Morebus general manager said: “Once again we were forced to make the difficult decision to divert services away from Turlin Moor yesterday evening because youths were throwing objects towards our vehicles.
“We made this decision to ensure the safety of all those on board. Buses provide a lifeline for many, so it is sad that there are some who choose to deprive their neighbours of these vital transport services.
“We are doing all we can to continue serving Turlin Moor - including working with the police to identify and prosecute the perpetrators.
"In the meantime, we will be monitoring the situation closely and will continue to respond to any further acts of anti-social behaviour.”
