AN INTERNATIONAL fugitive is set to be deported after he was found with a dangerous weapon.
Bournemouth Police were on patrol as part of their ‘100 Days of Summer’ initiative to tackle anti-social behaviour.
While out on patrol, officers spotted a man by the pier and made an arrest on Thursday, August 1.
A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: “The Bournemouth seafront has seen a strong presence of the Beach Beat today, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.
“Two unrelated arrests were made, including one involving a male who was found carrying a knife.
“This individual has a live European arrest warrant and will be deported. The bladed article has been seized.
“The Beach Beat operates with zero tolerance towards knife crime and antisocial behaviour, prioritizing the safety and enjoyment of everyone on the beach.”
