A SUPERYACHT that was owned by an American billionaire is moored in Poole Harbour.

The vessel, named Samadhi, arrived at Poole Quay Boat Haven yesterday, August 1 and has been pictured by members of the Daily Echo’s camera club.

According to website Superyacht Fan the vessel, which was originally named April Fool, was previously owned by 62-year-old American billionaire investor Daniel Loeb, until it was sold last year.

Samadhi can accommodate up to 12 guests across six cabins, and includes an office, walk-in wardrobe and marble bathroom with a sauna, bathtub and shower.

It was built in the Netherlands in 2006 by Feadship but underwent an ‘extensive refit’ that was finished in 2023, according to Boat International.

There are crew quarters onboard for a team of up to 17.

The 61-metre superyacht sold in early September 2023 and was up for sale with an asking price of €42,500,000 in an in-house deal at Edmiston, the website said.

It is unclear who now owns the vessel and for how long the superyacht will be in Poole.
