ALMOST 90 RNLI volunteers came together for a special moment in history.
At 6.24pm on August 1, 2024, a total of 87 volunteers came together in Poole to mark the RNLI’s 200th anniversary.
The volunteers participated in a special photo in what has been described as a “proud moment”.
RNLI volunteers nationwide were encouraged to capture their roles within the charity at that specific time.
The photos from each station will be uploaded to an online portal and will be used to create a montage image.
A total of 238 stations simultaneously gathered around the country to honour the RNLI’s history, to reflect and stand together united, celebrating its lifesaving mission and inspiring the future generations of lifesavers and supporters.
A spokesperson for Poole RNLI said: “It was a truly special moment here at Poole where each facet of the station came together captured by Nathan Williams RNLI A big thank you to all our volunteers for their continuous support.”
