TEMPORARY traffic lights will be installed on a busy road for more than a week.
CityFibre will be digging up part of Yarmouth Road in Branksome this month starting from Monday, August 12.
The traffic lights will be in place for most of the day, between 8am and 6pm every day, likely to bring long delays to the surrounding Surrey Road and Alder Road.
A spokeswoman from the telecommunications network provider said: “CityFibre works along Yarmouth Road, Poole, will take place from 12 to 24 August.
“There will be temporary multiway traffic lights between the hours of 8am-6pm including pedestrian crossing access, but there will be no road closure during this period.”
Just weeks later, the roundabout at Branksome business park, Bourne Valley Roundabout, will be closed between 9pm and 6am on September 20 to 23.
It means all four roads linking to the roundabout – Surrey Road, Yarmouth Road, Bourne Valley Road (northbound) and Bourne Valley Road (southbound) - won’t be able to access the roundabout.
During the closure, BCP Council will be carrying out resurfacing work on the road.
