A FORMER Wareham bank is to be converted into homes.
The NatWest building in North Street, next to the Town Hall, will see the conversion and extension of the building to create three self-contained apartments, with the demolition of a rear extension to make way for a terrace of three cottages.
Wareham Town Council has maintained an objection to the proposals as an overdevelopment of the site, although say that changes since the scheme was first proposed are an improvement on the original design.
Other applications from the area include the conversion of Lytchett Minster United Reformed Church Dorchester Road into a home and approval for a caravan rally at Brickyard Lane, Ulwell, Swanage.
