A PERSON was rescued from a roof after a scaffold collapsed.
The fire service was called to Osborne Road in Swanage this morning at 10.56am after scaffolding had collapsed into the road.
Crews from Swanage, Westbourne and a tech rescue crew from Weymouth were mobilised, although the crews from Westbourne and Weymouth were turned back before arrival.
When the Swanage crew arrived on scene, a ladder was used to bring one person to safety, while another person who was on the roof had reached the ground.

The road is currently closed, and will be until the scaffold is removed, the fire service said.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to Osborne Road, Swanage at 10.56am this morning (6 August) after a scaffold collapsed.
“One crew from Swanage attended and a ladder was used to bring one person to safety from the roof.
“Our stop was at 11.23am but the crew remain on site managing scene safety.
“The road is likely to be closed until the scaffold is removed.”
