TWO people remain on police bail after a woman was stabbed in West Howe. 

Police officers were called to reports of an assault at a home in Rochester Road during the early hours of Monday morning, April 29. 

The victim was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment to injuries that police described as “serious” but not believed to be life-threatening. 

Residents were woken up on the night of the assault to sounds of the woman screaming: “How have I been stabbed?” 

Detectives from BCP criminal investigations department arrested a woman, 37, and a man, 21 – both from Bournemouth – on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. 

Providing an update, a force spokesman said they remain on police while the investigation continues. 

Detective chief inspector Andy Bell, of BCP CID, said: “This has been a fast-moving investigation and we continue to carry out enquiries into this incident."
