A MAN was hospitalised with 'puncture wounds' after reports of a disturbance in Poole.
Officers were alerted to an incident outside a pub near Poole Quay at around 1am on August 10.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 1.05am on Saturday 10 August 2024 of a disturbance involving a group of men in the area of Old Orchard in Poole.
"It was reported that a man aged in his 20s sustained a small puncture wound to his back and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"His condition was not believed to be serious and he has since been discharged from hospital.
"A full investigation into this incident has been launched, led by detectives from BCP CID.
"There will be an increased police presence in the vicinity as enquiries are carried out and officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.
"No arrests have been made at this time."
