A MAN was seen with a knife near a Poole convenience shop.
Armed police rushed to One Stop in Melbury Avenue in the Bourne estate, Poole, on Saturday evening, August 10.
The officers arrested a man in his 40s but, following enquiries, he was later released without charge.
Dorset Police’s spokesman said there were no injuries reported and enquiries into the incident are ongoing to find out if there were any offenders or offences that happened.
He said: “Dorset Police received a report at 7.28pm on Saturday 10 August 2024 of a man reportedly seen in possession of a knife in the area of the One Stop store in Melbury Avenue in Poole.
“Officers attended the scene and, following enquiries, a man aged in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place and affray.
“Following further enquiries, he was released without charge.”
