A POP-UP makeup store will be in Bournemouth town centre for the week.

Peaches & Cream, known for going viral on Tik Tok and Instagram, will be at Bobby’s in the Square from Monday, August 12 to Sunday, August 18.

The Liverpool-based firm is promising a “week filled with beauty, fun, and exclusive experiences” for makeup enthusiasts or professional artists.

Kate Donnelly, co-founder of Peaches & Cream, said: "Bringing Peaches & Cream to Bournemouth is a dream come true.

"We can't wait to share our passion for makeup with the local community and turn the town pink.”

She added: “We were approached by Bobby's Beauty and were immediately intrigued as we hadn't heard of the store before.

“After reading up on the store takeover and the regeneration we felt our values aligned and couldn't wait to get involved. It's refreshing to get an opportunity that hasn't yet been explored by any of our peers.

“Bournemouth also seemed a perfect fit as we have a range of summer products so being able to bring them and promote them at a seaside town will be great marketing for us.”

Kate said there has been a “huge” increase in demand for independent makeup across the country in the past five years and describes her brand as “pioneers”.

She said: “Most new brands seem to strive for world domination and a place on the shelves of Sephora or Boots, however we have always seen the value and longevity in keeping our independence.

“When people discover our brand for the first time and try our products, they get a sense of excitement about finding a hidden gem.

“Our brand was also founded before social media was around and even though we've adapted with the times we have tried to stay true to ourselves growing the brand organically through word of mouth. “

On Bobby’s, she said: “I love that they have recognised the need to change up the stereotypical image of a conventional beauty hall so I think we are going to fit in perfectly.

“I read on their website they are building a community and giving people a reason to shop on the high street again.

“We strive to do this in our Liverpool store, and I think the draw of Peaches for Bobby's is that Liverpool is the only other place you can shop the products in person.”
