FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fairground lorry that caught fire on the A338 on Monday evening.
The red fairground lorry, that was also towing a caravan which had been disconnected, caught fire at the Blackwater Junction shortly after 7.30pm on August 12.
Three fire engines were called to tackle the vehicle fire, with the lorry left completely destroyed by the side of the road.
A spokeswoman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to the A338 Blackwater junction at 7.36pm last night (12 August) for a fairground lorry well alight.
"A crew from Springbourne and two from Christchurch attended, and four breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets, a main jet and compressed air foam to extinguish the fire, which destroyed the vehicle.
"Our stop was at 8.42pm."
