Two town council election results revealed
RESULTS from two town councils' by-elections have come through.
Wimborne Minster Town Council and Ferndown Town Council both held by-elections for the Wimborne Minster Town ward and Ameysford ward, respectively, on Thursday, August 8.
In Wimborne, seven people were on the ballot and only six new councillor roles were available, with independent candidate Bill Jaggs narrowly missing out.
Chris Brown, Lauren Hector, Rodger Nash, Christopher Ryan, Ian Sandy and David Trim have all been elected. Turnout was 11.27 per cent.
Meanwhile in Ameysford, Ferndown People’s Alliance candidate Jacqui Cable won with 364 votes against the other candidate’s 42 votes – Reform UK’s Andrei Silviu Dragotoniu. Turnout was 17.15 per cent.
