A POOLE pizza restaurant has closed in preparation for a “new concept” to open at the site.
Fireaway Pizza, on Lower Blandford Road in Broadstone, announced the closure through signage on the window.
The sign read: “Fireaway Pizzas is now closed.
“There will be a new concept opening in September.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
Fireaway Pizza is a national chain with locations across England, Scotland and Wales, including local branches in Bournemouth and Southampton.
It is unclear what the “new concept” will be at the site.
Whereas, the Dolphin Poole previously announced it would be welcoming four new restaurants to its Street Food area.
The new outlets include Chuck and Blade, Wraps’ N Roll, Noodlebar and Zeen Cuisine.
John Grinnell, centre manager of The Dolphin, previously said: "We've long felt the need to introduce more options for food and drink, and it's a great opportunity for us to support local up-and-coming restauranteurs as they make the transition to commercial units."
Chuck and Blade’s new site at the Dolphin shopping centre, offering handmade smash burgers and dirty fries, will be the first in Dorset.
