THIS year's edition of YMCA Bournemouth's annual fundraiser, BIG Sleep Easy, is set to take place in October.
The event will start at 6.45pm on Saturday, October 12 and run through to 6.30am on Sunday, October 13 at Talbot Heath School.
Open to a mix of attendees including groups, clubs and businesses, the charitable event aims to shine a spotlight on the issue of homelessness and raise funds for the YMCA's efforts to support those impacted.
Mehdi, a past resident of Delta House in Westover Road, said: "YMCA Bournemouth gave me a sense of family, talked to me, advised me, arranged courses and gave me the space to unravel what happened.
"It was the best opportunity I ever had.
"YMCA Bournemouth can change your life.
"It changed mine."
The fundraising event encourages participants to spend a night in self-made cardboard shelters, testing their survival skills.
Mark Benham, partner at Lester Aldridge, said: "I’m extremely proud that Lester Aldridge continues to support such an important charity, which provides local services and projects that give children, young people and vulnerable individuals hope for a better future."
