WAREHAM fire station was called to a house on the outskirts of the town after the owner smelt smoke.
Called out at 10:40pm on August 17, Wareham fire station has reported it attended an incident on the outskirts of Wareham after the owner had smelt smoke.
On arrival, firefighters investigated the house to find the source and discovered a faulty light fitting which could have caused a fire.
A spokesperson for Wareham fire station said: "10:40pm last night one fire engine was sent to a house on the outskirts of Wareham.
"The owner could smell smoke in his house, firefighters investigated and found source, a faulty light fitting which could have led to a fire."
