A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Bournemouth.
The male rider, in his 20s, was riding in St Alban’s Avenue off Charminster Road on Saturday evening, August 17, when he was involved in a crash with a car.
Police officers describe the rider's injuries as being “serious but not life threatening” and he was taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 5.57pm on Saturday 17 August 2024 of a collision in St Alban’s Avenue in Bournemouth involving a car and a motorcycle.
"Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and the motorcyclist – a man aged in his 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
“The local authority was also notified due to reports of fuel on the road.
“The road was cleared and officers left the scene at around 7.30pm.”
