RESIDENTS at a Poole care home spent an afternoon basking in the sunshine as they enjoyed a beach themed party.
Carers at the The Lindsay Bupa Care Home organised the event for residents to experience summer in the comfort of their home.
They filled the home’s outdoor garden with beach-themed decorations including colourful beach umbrellas, inflatable toys, a paddling pool, and sandpit to imitate a tropical shore.
The residents enjoyed exotic fruit pots, ice creams and live entertainment from singer, Phil Cowan.
Home manager Lauren Steele said: “I was very happy with how the event turned out, all the residents had a really great day and there was plenty of fun and laughter.
“The party was held after lunch so the residents could fill up on sweets while enjoying the sunshine.”
One resident, Arthur Alderman, 97, added: “I had an amazing time at the beach party, it brought back memories of having summers by the beach.”
