A MAN made a big ‘mis-steak’ after being caught shoplifting with multiple packets of meat.
A report was received at around 11.30am on Monday 19 August 2024 of a theft from Tesco Express in Bourne Avenue in Bournemouth.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop.
A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: “PC John and PC Luke from Poole NPT have been once again assisting the town team today with #100DaysOfSummer patrols in Bournemouth.
“This morning whilst conducting high visibility patrols in the town centre one unlucky individual decided to steal a pile of steaks from a local shop and walked right into them... Big mis-steak.
“The male who was not from the area was arrested and taken to custody, he has since been charged with the offence of shoplifting and has been charged being given bail conditions not to enter the BCP save for his court appearance.
“Officers continue to provide an increased visibility and presence within the town centre as part of the PCC's extra funding for foot patrols during August.”
