A MAN in his 20s was hospitalised after being punched and struck with a glass bottle outside a Bournemouth eatery.

Officers have issued CCTV images of men they would like to speak to in connection with an assault.

The victim, a man aged in his 20s was punched in the face by one of the men before the other hit him over the head with a glass bottle.

He attended the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The incident occurred outside Sol Bar in Old Christchurch Road on August 11 at around 3am.

Police Constable Rannoch Hartman-Turner, of Bournemouth police, said: “This was a nasty, unprovoked assault and we are carrying out enquiries into this incident to identify those responsible.

“I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of two men we would like to identify as part of our investigation and would urge anyone who recognises them to please come forward.

“Furthermore, I would urge any witnesses to this reported assault – as well as anyone who may have captured relevant home CCTV or dashcam footage – to please make contact with us.”
