The men scaled the roof of a resident’s garage in Belvedere Road in Charminster, Bournemouth, at around 8.50pm on Wednesday, July 24.
In doing so, the pair damaged the roof tiles and more than £3,000 has been forked out to repair the roof.
Officers are issuing CCTV images of two men they would like to identify following the criminal damage.
Police community support investigator Jared Sharman, of Bournemouth police, said: “It is not known why the offenders climbed onto the roof of the garage.
“I have now obtained CCTV images of two men I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises them to please come forward.”
