A PLAY inspired by the making of the film Jaws is coming to Poole.
The Shark Is Broken, an Olivier Award-nominated production, is embarking on a UK tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic 1975 film.
The play, starring Ian Shaw as his father Robert Shaw, delves into the experiences of the Jaws crew during filming.
The Shark Is Broken promises a 'brilliantly funny' portrayal of Hollywood's behind-the-scenes drama.
The play enjoyed critical acclaim and sell-out success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2019 before transferring to the Ambassadors Theatre on the West End and later to John Golden Theatre on Broadway.
Casting for the roles of Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss is yet to be announced.
The performances at Lighthouse Poole in 2025 will run from Tuesday, April 29 to Saturday, May 3.
Tickets for the performances will go on general sale from 10am on Friday, August 23.
