A HIT-packed show 'reviving the sixties and seventies' is coming to Wimborne.

Singer Roy G Hemmings will bring his The Hits of Motown Show to the Tivoli Theatre on Friday, August 30.

A former member of the Drifters, Roy brings together the biggest hits of Motown Records in one live action-packed show.

He will be joined by his backing singers The Prim-ettes and a talented live band for a show featuring the music of Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Temptations, Marvin Gaye and many more soul and Motown stars.

Roy promises to take the audience back to the golden era of soul music.

“The Hits of Motown Show revives the Sixties and Seventies – capturing the energy and magnetism of the singers of the time,” he said. 

“Artistes of the era were renowned for captivating audiences with a sheer love of music. It was a time when the sounds filling nightlife establishments in the UK dominated the charts, taking soul music from the underground to the mainstream.

“What better place to revive the era than the historic surroundings of The Tivoli Theatre.”
