A MAN was arrested on suspicion of motor offences after a fail-to-stop car chase in Bournemouth.
A vehicle allegedly failed to stop for officers on August 21 at around 1.30pm.
The NPAS helicopter was deployed in the search for the offenders who fled the scene.
A spokesperson for NPAS said: "At 14.02 on Wednesday 21 August 2024, a police helicopter crew from NPAS Bournemouth was deployed to the Poole area to assist Dorset Police in the search for suspects.
"Total flying time was 50 minutes."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At around 1.35pm on Wednesday 21 August 2024, a vehicle reportedly failed to stop for officers on the A3049 in Poole.
"It is alleged that the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene and searches were carried out to try and locate them, assisted by the NPAS helicopter.
"One man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and taking a motor vehicle without the owner's consent.
"He has been released on police bail while the investigation continues. There were no reports of any injuries sustained. Enquiries are ongoing into the incident."
