TRAVELLERS have set up camp at a nature reserve in Longham.
Caravans and vans reportedly arrived at Holmwood Park, off Christchurch Road, on Wednesday morning.
A resident reported they had ‘broken in through two locked gates’ and had parked ‘100 yards from private £700,000 homes’.
The encampment was reported to police at 11.24am on Wednesday, August 21.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Officers have attended the site and are liaising with those present as well as the local authority.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and work with our local partners and will take appropriate further action if required.”
