A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital in a serious condition after a late-night stabbing in Poole.

A 15-year-old boy has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, along with a 16-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of affray after an incident on Vale Road on August 23.

The incident is the latest in a long list of knife crimes in the conurbation, and comes a year after teenager Cameron Hamilton was stabbed to death in Bournemouth town centre.

His grandmother, Tracy Jose, has spoken out about the impact of carrying a knife after her grandson was fatally stabbed following an altercation between two groups.

Tracy said: “My thoughts are with the victim and his family, I really hope he makes a full recovery.

“Unfortunately, yet again this highlights the growing trend of carrying a knife.

“The impacts of knife crime are very real as my family has sadly experienced first-hand.

“This is why I have started the charity Changes Are Made, in memory of my grandson Cameron Hamilton who was killed last year.

“The main aim of the charity is to support, educate, prevent and deter young people from carrying or using knives or serious violence.

“By going into schools, colleges or any other setting for young people, I hope that as a family member sharing personally what has happened to a loved one, it will open up tough conversations about the devastating consequences of carrying or using a knife.

“I would like to think it will make some think twice about picking a knife up in the first place.

“The message is simple - don’t carry a knife. Had there not been one present on the 5th August last year, Cam would still be alive today.

“Changes Are Made (C.A.M) is a local charity, please support us in trying to make change happen.

“If you’d like to contact us, require further information, or would like to make a donation, you can find us on Facebook or email changesaremade@outlook.com
