THE following roadworks are being carried out within the BCP Council area by the council and various utility companies the week beginning Monday, August 26:

Ashley Road – junction Holdenhurst Road to railway bridge. Temporary road closure on 22 July until 29 August during BCP design and improvement works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Benellen Gardens – junction with Branksome Wood Road. Temporary road closure on 27 August until 13 September during BCP design and improvement works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Benellen Road – junction with Benellen Avenue. Temporary road closure on 30 August until 25 September during BCP design and improvement works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Bourne Valley Road (Poole) – at junction with Branksome Business Park. Temporary traffic signals on 22 August until 27 August during CityFibre installation works.  

Braidley Road – outside 15. Temporary road closure on 18 July until 6 September during Wessex Water works to repair a collapsed sewer. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Broadway Lane – junction Careys Road to outside 86 Temporary road closure on 22 July until 10 September during SGN installation and maintenance works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Brudenell Avenue (Poole) – junction with Shore Road Various carriageway restrictions (including a small road closure) on 1 April until 30 August during SGN installation and maintenance works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Canford Heath Road (Poole) – junction with Darbys Corner Roundabout Temporary road closure on 28 August during BCP resurfacing works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Christchurch Road – Boscombe Spa Road to Knyveton Road. Temporary one-way road closure (Eastbound) plus other carriageway restrictions including road closures on Boscombe Spa Road, Knole Road, Knyveton Road and Manor Road, on 2 August until 27 September during Wessex Water works to make an emergency repair for a collapsed sewer. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Clarence Park Road jct with Christchurch Road to jct Rebbeck Road. Temporary road closure on 26 August until 4 October during SGN installation works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Constitution Hill Road (Poole) – jct Ringwood Rd to jct Constitution Hill Gardens. Temporary traffic signals on 22 July until 11 October during SGN installation works. 

Cranleigh Road – outside 1 to junction with Cranleigh Road and Beaufort Road. Temporary traffic signals on 30 August during BT role replacement works. Delays expected. Contact BT 0800 800150

Darracott Road – junction Parkwood Road to junction West Road. Temporary road closure on 19 August until 27 September during SGN installation works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Dolbery Road North (Poole) – junction with Belben Road. Temporary road closure on 26 August until 23 September during BCP junction re-modelling works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Duck Lane - outside Oak Academy. Temporary road closure on 27 August until 9 September during SWW works to provide a new service. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Durley Road – the whole road. Temporary road closure on 22 July until 30 August during BCP junction remodelling works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Gravel Hill (Poole) – outside 31 to 37. Temporary traffic signals on 29 August during BCP highways maintenance and repair works

Gulliver Close (Poole) – whole road. Temporary traffic signals on 9 August until 30 August during SGN installation and connection works. 

Hurst Hill (Poole) – the whole road from Lilliput Road. Temporary traffic signals on 31 July until 27 August during SGN installation works. 

Kitchener Crescent (Poole) – outside 64. Temporary traffic signals on 27 August until 30 August during BCP investigation works 

Leven Avenue – junction Walsford Road and Benellen Avenue. Temporary road closure on 31 July until 30 August during BCP works to improve crossing and cycle facilities. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Lilliput Road (Poole) – junction Bingham Avenue to jct Dean Swift Crescent. Temporary traffic signals on 22 July until 3 September during SGN installation works. 

Magna Road (Poole) – outside 122 to junction with Hainault Drive. Temporary traffic signals on 12 August until 6 September during SGN installation works. 

Magna Road (Poole) – outside 94 to junction Wheelers Lane. Temporary traffic signals on 3 March until 4 October during BCP works to improve footway and cycle facilities. 

Merley Park Road (Poole) – outside 9. Temporary traffic signals on 30 August during Virgin Media installation works. 

Normandy Way (Poole) – link road between Lake Drive and Normandy Way. Temporary road closure on 15 April until 6 September during SGN installation and maintenance works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Oakley Lane (Poole) – junction with Oakley Straight to jct with Harrier Drive. Temporary road closure on 25 July until 16 September during BCP works to install a new pedestrian crossing and install new kerbs. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Parkstone Heights (Poole) – junction with Ringwood Road. Temporary road closure on 26 August until 28 May 2025 during BCP junction re-modelling works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Parkwood Road – junction with Christchurch Road - junction with Darracott Road. Temporary road closure on 8 July until 13 September during SGN installation works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Queens Road- Midland Heights 51. Temporary traffic signals on 30 August during Wessex Water works to repair a rocking/noisy access cover. 

Queens Road – junction Surrey Road. Temporary road closure on 5 August until 30 August during SGN installation and maintenance works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

R L Stevenson Avenue – outside 46. Temporary traffic signals on 26 August until 6 September during BCP works to connect a new property to a sewer. 

Ringwood Road – between Poole Lane RAB and junction with Fulwood Avenue. Temporary (night-time) carriageway restrictions 28 August during EE Ltd maintenance work on their mast. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Ringwood Road (Poole) – junction Fernside Road to junction with Hunt Road. Temporary traffic signals on 22 July until 1 September during SGN works to replace a new gas main..  

Shillingstone Drive – junction Broadway Lane Temporary traffic signals on 26 August until 10 September during SGN works to replace a new gas main. 

Somerville Road – junction Durley Chine Road to jct Durley Road. Temporary road closure on 22 July until 30 August during BCP works to install a cycle lane and to turn the road into a ‘school street’. Signed diversion route in operation.
