POOLE RNLI lifeboat station helped save two jet skiers who were broken down off Canford Cliffs in its 80th call-out this year.
A jetski boarded by two people was towed back to shore on August 26 after it was left stricken off Canford Cliffs when its engine stopped working.
Called to the scene at 5:30pm, Poole RNLI was tasked by the Coastguard and delivered the jetski plus its riders to Baiter Park slipway in Poole.
A spokesperson for RNLI Poole said: "Poole Lifeboat was tasked by UK Coastguard on Bank holiday Sunday (August 26) just before 5.30pm to a broken-down Jet ski with 2 people on-board.
"The Jet ski was at Canford Cliffs, conditions were good with a south westerly breeze, 3 to 4.
"The lifeboat volunteers were soon on scene, and checked everyone was ok, which they were. For safety, it was decided to bring the jet ski back to where it had launched from earlier.
"The lifeboat towed the stricken jet ski and the jet skiers back to Baiter slipway once all safe ashore, the lifeboat returned to station and was ready for service by 19.45pm."
Poole RNLI reported that this was the 80th call-out that the station has received this year.
